Slow response in Storyline 3

Hi all,

I have a slide with 7 numeric entries (see attached) which require learners to input the right answers to all of them.

If learners submit the right answers , we then will show them the correct layer.

If they submit an incorrect answer for the first time, we then show them the incorrect layer.

if they submit an incorrect answer for the 2nd time, we then show them the Answer layer.

Issue: Although I managed to get it work, the issue is, it takes Storyline 2 to 3 second to process and show the layers.

Any ideas on why this might be and how I can fix this?

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing slowdowns when authoring in Storyline 3. I'd be happy to troubleshoot this with you!

I just had a few follow-up questions to help me get a better idea of your setup:

Are you working locally? We recommend you Create, Edit, and Publish Courses on Your Local Hard Drive while authoring in order to prevent erratic behavior.
Have you tried performing a repair of your Storyline 3 application to see if that improves behavior?
Are these slowdowns occurring across all of the projects you create or just this one specifically?

It would be helpful to take a closer look at your project file and test the behavior on my end. Would you be willing to share your .story file here in the discussion or privately through a support case? We'll delete it from our system once troubleshooting is complete!
