Start in review mode or export the file in review mode only?

Nov 02, 2021

Hi,

I wonder if I can export the file for review mode only.

For learners, they should answer questions to go to the next page and they can review when it is completed. But for educators, they don't want to take the whole quiz to look through the course content.

Is there an export option to do this? or is this even possible?

Thanks for your advice!

Hi, Angela,

You could export the course into Word. That creates a document with editable text, plus screen shots for reference. That would allow others to review the content. And you could track changes so you'd know what needs to be updated in the Storyline file.

Be aware, though, that the format for the exported document is messy. As a developer, you'd understand it, but I think it'd be confusing for a SME. So, at the very least, I suggest you add page breaks and perhaps do some other editing before you send it out for review.

Another option: copy and paste the screenshots into a separate file, formatted as desired. For example, for one of my clients, I used to create review documents with a 2-column table. The left column was for screenshots, with a separate row for each slide (or multiple rows for an interactive slide). Reviewers put their comments in the right column. Since the document was on SharePoint, everyone could enter their comments in the same file. And, after implementing comments, I'd keep the original row (darkened a bit, to make it obvious it wasn't current), and insert a new row with the updated screenshot. So one document contained the history of the review.
