Survey Results slide questions

Feb 16, 2022

Hi, there are a few things I don't understand about survey results slides and I haven't been able to find the answers after searching the forums.

1. Why do Survey Results slides require a passing score? The questions are not being graded, so I don't understand this requirement or how Storyline determines if someone 'passes' or 'fails'.

2. What type of 'quiz' should be selected on a Survey Results slide in order to report the results to an LMS? If I select Final Assessment, how does this impact the reporting of other results slides to an LMS? The project I am working on has a survey as well as a graded final assessment using graded quiz slides.

Thank you,

Laura

Hello Laura!

By design, survey questions are not scored. If you want to grade a survey, here's a helpful discussion thread. Survey Results Slides track that each slide has been submitted rather than the actual score.

You can still use a Survey Results Slide to report the answers to an LMS. The learner's responses will be included in the report from the LMS under "interactions."

If you want to test how this works in a LMS environment, I recommend testing your course in SCORM cloud
