Textbox disappearing at end of timeline
Jul 19, 2013
Hi there,
I have a problem which I illustrate in my very simple .story file attached. Slide number 1 just has a single text box on it. The texbox disappears at the end of the timeline. There is no exit animation on it and the box extends to the end of the timeline. There is an entrance animation. Remove the entrance animation and it is fine. What the heck??
On slide number 2, I have created a textbox and applied the same entrance animation on it, and that one is fine. Again, what the heck?? Why is the 2nd slide fine but not the first?
Have I done something stupid here? Or can the software fall over that easily? I am keen to know the answer to that one, so I can plan to what level I develop my courses.
Also, I seem to remember that if you think you have discovered a bug or want to register it somewhere, there is a link you go to, rather than post on the forum. Could somebody point me in that direction? But maybe it isn't a bug, maybe I am doing something silly?
In the meantime I am keen to hear back on any views on the attached story file. Like I said, it is a really simple story file, two slides, a textbox on each one.
Thanks.

Hi Ben:
Right-click the Text Box 6 layer in your timeline (at teh bottom) and click on the Show until end menu item to correct this.

Thanks Ben,
In this instance, doing "show until End" does work. However, why would I need to do this when on the timeline the textbox does extend to the end? And also, why would removing the entrance animation remove the problem? I'm thinking this is a bit of a bug you know.
Thanks.
Hi Ben and welcome to Heroes!
It sounds like it would be best to have you submit a Support case for this.
Thanks!
Hi Team,
Granted this is from 9 years ago, but as I just stumbled upon it thought I would weigh in. I noticed when I had this issue that there was an Exit Animation that was fading out my text box. once I removed that - the problem was fixed :)
