Timeline Looping
Mar 25, 2019
Hello,
I'm hoping there are some Storyline experts that may be able to help me:
I have a slide where I have added a loop (so it restarts the slide when it hits a cue on the timeline 77 seconds), I have multiple layers on that same slide that users will be interacting with possibly for some length time periods. As I've set the slide to restart it also resets the layer too. I wondered if there was a way to loop the slide without affecting the layer or if it's best to have a very long timeline on the main slide. Or if anyone knows a better way to achieve this,
Many thanks in advance!

Hello, Kirendeep.
Without seeing your file, it sounds like placing all slide objects on the base layer might be your best bet. That way you can control the timeline with just one trigger.
If you don't mind sharing a sample of your file publicly, perhaps the community could take a look and offer other ideas!
Hey Alyssa,
Thank you! I actually managed to solve it, I realised after that I can loop the animations by using the 'Move' object on path when the previous animation completes. I assume that will then endless loop,
Cheers,
Kiren
Glad you were able to figure out the solution that would work best for you, Kiren.
I appreciate you sharing with the community as well.
From 3 years in the future, thank you for posting that!
