Using the timeline for simple animation in a barrier free course?

Hi! I am just creating my first barrier free course with Storyline 360 and was wondering if I can use the timeline for simple animation (show and hide text oder pictures), or if this could be a problem for screen readers?
Does anyone have experiences and can share?
