It looks like the different colors are in different states.
If the color selection is only on one slide, the change could be done by simply changing the object(s) to the state with the appropriate color.
That programming could also use a variable. A variable would be useful if the selected color needed to be stored so it could be used on other slides. Then the triggers would change the state of the object(s) based on the value of the variable.
