Just wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a video clip with a transparent background into Storyline 360 and if so, what format did you use so that 360 maintains the transparency.
I'm updating a course from 5 years ago and alpha channel is STILL not supported? My workaround was to import the background into the video itself. Guess I'll have to do that again.
Another +1 on this feature for what it's worth. It's a real pain to add processing to remove the transparent portion of a video to make it work in Storyline.
It is truly impressive that in 2023, this feature is still not available. It is something basic and very primary. Not having this feature makes many creations in terms of e-learning support unfeasible.
Dude! as powerful this application "and the community behind it" it is a big issue that some features are requested here heavily for years and no one even says whether it is on the plan or not.
I just finished a video with transparency and was surprised and very disappointed to find out it wouldn't keep the transparency in Storyline. Please add this feature!
I want to design the facilitator's face to integrate into the elearning.
Rather than having a script read (audio only) or having a video place holder taking up real estate to play content, I want a facilitator/presenter to be an object alongside buttons, quiz questions, and all of the content. I want to integrate the facilitator the same way we do with a transparent PNG; they can appear/disappear just like any object - without needing to live on layer or be placed into a "frame."
Here is a rough example I tossed together in a few days. I used Zoom to record the video with a solid-colored background. I then had to painstakingly color match the background in my Storyline project to make it feel seamless. Not my proudest work but an example of what I want to accomplish with transparent video as an option.
(WARNING: my project wasn't built for mobile and glitches by stopping the ability to progress if viewed on iOS devices; Android not tested)
Hey Alencar, I tested the link and password just now and it seems to work on my end. Make sure to use uppercase for "SAFE", include the dash line with no spaces before or after, and lowercase "ly"
Try copying this and pasting it into the password field: SAFE-ly

Hey Cary It seemed very interesting to me, if you can share your process that would be great. I really don't understand why they haven't made this feature available to everyone yet. Thanks for sharing your project.

Our company needs this as well.

Adding my input here as well, really need this to be a feature!! It is 2023 after all, not having alpha channels is severely limiting!!

I'd also like this feature, and find it pretty strange that nothing is supported.
adding my name to the list of supporters to get this feature moving. I'm assuming it must be really difficult to pull off. : (

I'm dying. Can't believe this hasn't been implemented yet. Have to change my ENTIRE module because there is no work around. Please add this feature!

I would like to see it but the password does not work.
