Issue with Transparent Background on Images
Hello!
We create images in Canva and upload them into Rise. Many of these images have a transparent background. Until today, the background of these images showed as white. However, today, any image we update/upload with a transparent background shows the background as black.
(You can see the attached screenshot for what I mean. Images on left and center were updated today and image on right was not. All showed with a white background before today.)
I'm not sure why this is happening. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Hello Sarah,
I have experienced my transparency turning to black when re-saving a PNG file in an image viewing software called Irfanview. It may be that sometimes when a PNG with transparency is re-saved within some software that the transparency is lost. Perhaps this is what is happening with you.
If you can, I would recommend using Photoshop to edit the image and re-save as a PNG within Photoshop before inserting it into Articulate products. You may also wish to use the "Save for Web (Legacy)" setting when exporting from Photoshop.

Thanks so much for the solution KendalRasnake-1 . Unfortunately, I don't have access to PhotoShop.
What's more, I have done nothing differently with images I've created in the last year. So, why it changed all of a sudden, I'm unsure. It's likely I'll just have to stop exporting my images with transparent backgrounds and instead export them with white backgrounds.
Thank you again for your help!

Can you upload one of the images here? It could be a change in Rise or maybe a change in how Canva is coding the images, I can have a Quick Look.

I have the same issue. I'm brushing up an existing course with some graphic design details. As soon as I crop a png (from canva) in Rise the background turns black.
Hello LD_Sabrina and Elimbert,

I've also the same issue after cropping the image (png from Canva) in Rise.

Here's my image PhilMayor, but to the above points, even when I don't re-upload an image, but crop (within Rise) the same image as before, the transparent background shows as black (whereas before it showed as white). So, I think the issue is on Rise's end. Thanks for your advice!

This is a bug with rise, any png that is cropped is being saved as a jpg with a black background. Hopefully this has been raised as an issue and will get fixed quick.
Hi SarahSampara-24,
Thanks for submitting the support case, as Phil suggested!
I see that Darrell helped identify this issue as a possible bug in Rise 360. Let's continue the conversation in your support case to keep all the information in one place, but I'm happy to assist further as needed.
