Web publishing

Hello,

I would like to understand how web publishing on storyline works.

If I publish a project for the web (I don't need to get a score), what happens if several learners do the same module at the same time, in terms of navigation, score? Will they be able to follow the module separately?

For example, if a learner X has already done the module and the quizzes, and another learner Y clicks on the web link, does he arrive on the screen where learner X stopped or does he arrive normally at the beginning of the module?

Thank you for your help,

Catherine

  • Think of your course like a web page and how it works when people from all over access a page. Each instance would be unique to that person.

When you publish for web, you'll get an output folder. You need to move the contents of that folder into a folder on a web server. The index.html or story.html is used to create the URL the person clicks to access the course.

  • Thank you very much for your response ! If I understood correctly, the only difference between web publishing and scorm publishing is that there is no score feedback for web publishing, right?

  • Correct. The LMS publishing produces all of the tracking stuff in addition to the course files/folders.
