When using an NVDA screen reader, sometimes the slide will begin readingin the middle of the slide

Apr 13, 2021

I am noticing when I land on a page from a button (branching), the NVDA reader starts reading the slide in the middle of the page. If you arrow up, you can get to the other content, but that is unfortunately not where it lands at first stop. Others on my team have noticed the same. Is this happening for others? Is there a way to get it to play from the top of the slide?

Hi Danielle!

I'm happy to help! I'm not noticing this on my end with NVDA and Storyline 360 courses. Are you viewing the course in an LMS environment, Web environment, or Review 360?

I'm also interested to hear if you see the same behavior when using different browsers, or is the focus starting at the middle of the screen in a specific browser?
