I'm looking for a way to fluidly animate a dial-like gauge. I know that a dial can be animate with its variable, up to even +0.01 to make it move cleanly.
However, I'm having troubles finding a way to automate that kind of animation in Storyline 360.
Is there a way to do something like... "Increase the dial's variable by 1 per frame, on timeline starts, until it reach 180" ?
I got it to work by adjusting the variable using triggers on 2 layers that switch back and forth every 0.01 sec. See this in action in the attached file.
By the way, I'm glad you mentioned 0.01 sec. in your post. I originally tried using "end of timeline," with the timeline as short as possible. But that's only 0.25 sec., which made the movement jumpy (and much longer). Using "when timeline reaches 0.01" made it work.

This is great, Judy! The movement is so smooth. Thank you for creating this example!
Jean-Christophe, in case you find this helpful, here's some more info on working with dials.
I cannot mark your comment as helpful more than once, thanks a bunch :)
Jean-Christophe,
You're welcome.
