.xlif files using Logiterm software

Our company uses Logiterm as a translation software, but we have had multiple issues with exporting an XLIF file from RISE. There are multiple items that 'partially' translate and then require manual intervention to fix. Mostly, these are extra or missing spaces/characters in text (headers, lists, tabs, buttons, etc). So using the import for translation (although fast) is really slowing down due to having to review and fix all the translated text.  Sometimes we feel it's quicker to build a new module by cutting and pasting the text in and then formatting it on the fly.

Has anyone had similar issues or had problems using Logiterm?

  • Hi Jeff! I'd be curious to hear about where you're at with this. We are also experiencing issues with Logiterm translation software and Rise. Basically, the XLIFFs can't be read by Rise when imported (we get an 'import successful' message, and when re-opening the file, nothing was translated. We've escalated to Articulate, and they've advised it's a translator issue unfortunately). I'd love to hear if you have any lessons learned/best practices to share since you also seemed to have issues with this software! Thanks!
