404 Page Not Found

Hi all.  This is the first time I've encountered this issue.  With my most recent Storyline eLearning, when we go to upload the SCORM file to our LMS, we get a "404 page not found" error code.  Does anyone know how to correct this?

  • Hi Melissa,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble uploading a Storyline course to your LMS.

Please try uploading the same published content to SCORM Cloud to test if you encounter the same error message. If you can upload successfully with SCORM Cloud, you may contact your LMS administrator so they can investigate the behavior.

Otherwise, let me know so we can dig deeper into this issue.

I had the "Page can't be found - HTTP ERROR 404" error appear yesterday after uploading my Storyline 360 file to my LMS.

I have 2 pdf documents under my Resources link. One pdf is a single page with plain text and a short filename. The other pdf is a 2-page rich text pdf with a long filename. After uploading both pdfs to the Resources, only the single-page pdf would display correctly in the LMS.

Another one of my team found out the 2-page rich text pdf "the manual's file name is too long for the LMS to deal with in the player." After shortening the pdf file name and the Title of the pdf in the SL player and testing the link, it seemed to function correctly.

    HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEBODY ELSE!
