A scrolling panel that scrolls both horizontally and vertically?

Has anyone come up with a solution allowing a scrolling panel that scrolls both vertically and horizontally? I am simulating the activities required by a user on a webs...
Check out this thread here. You should be able to expand the Javascript snippet to work for both horizontal and vertical scrolling.
