Accessible font size
Our team is trying to figure out how to meet the following accessibility standard for a storyline file that contains text:
- 707.7.2 Characters [on certain display screens]: Characters on the screen must be in a sans-serif font, at least 3/16 inch (4.8 mm) high based on the uppercase letter “I” and contrast with the background.
I was told that for the 15" laptop screen size we have at work the the full screen display for a 720p storyline output should have no less than 20pt body text (see attachment). How are you all addressing this accessibility standard because every post and guidance I have pulled up says to use minimum 14-16pt font size not 20? On the 504 site it does say browsers have zoom capability but the browser zoom does not enlarge the body text within a storyline file. Any guidance would be appreciated.

The ADA Accessibility Standard you've shared above is specific to (707) Automatic Teller Machines and Fare Machines, and the image is for Section 508 Standard 402.4, which is specific to hardware.
The WCAG guidelines will help you create an accessible Storyline file. There is no official minimum font size, but 16px (12pt) is generally agreed upon.WCAG does have a criterion, 1.4.4 Resize Text, that states text can be resized up to 200%. When authors use the modern player style, learners can switch to modern player zoom mode and use the zoom settings in desktop browsers to make slides bigger and easier to see. On mobile devices, learners can use pinch-to-zoom gestures.
I hope this helps clarify some of these guidelines.
Here are some additional articles:I have one issue with this: when the course has a side menu, whenever the user tries to enlarge it to 200%, it is the menu that gets larger while the course page gets smaller. I would like to mention this in the guidance, but I feel it will make us look like we don't understand the basic idea of +/-.

To make slides bigger and easier to see, learners can toggle between the default zoom behavior and modern player zoom simply by pressing
