Adding a Different Name to Author Field?

Hey, everyone!

I have a bit of an odd question. My supervisor does not have the Articulate 360 App on her computer, yet is somehow convinced that, if I add her name in the "Author" field of a Storyline course, she'll have the ability to view the source files. That sounds absolutely incorrect to me. I would think that she would need to have Articulate installed on her computer to view any source files. Am I wrong? Does the "Author" field provide some sort of feature that I'm unaware of?

Thanks!

  • Nope, your supervisor is wrong. The author field is just part of the additional project information, like email, duration, keywords etc.

  • Just meta data, although I would humour her and do what she asks for.

  • If your supervisor doesn't have Articulate 360, what good would "source files" do her anyway? "Viewing" a Story file gives little information that you can't get by just using Review 360, or am I missing something?

If she doesn't have a license, does she even know how to read, say, triggers and states and JavaScript?

Thank you all for your thoughts. You really just confirmed what I already thought to be the case. She just seemed awfully insistent, so I figured it best to confirm.
