Is it possible to add background music/sound to my Rise project.

Hi, Lebogang!
Thanks for letting us know you want the Start button to also initiate playing audio across your course. We'll keep our eyes out for more interest in this idea!

@Mathew - with those Stricter policies in mind - then isn't it possible to add music on the Start button for the LEarners? from my understanding, a button can have multiple functions right? so when the Learner Clicks start add a feature for us, content developers, to Upload music to play throughout the Course just like in Settings where one can hide and unhide a menu button.
is that doable? Hi Deanelle! While you can't insert audio inside a table, you could add an audio block below the table.
You could also design a custom table in Storyline 360 (including audio) and embed it in Rise using a Storyline block!

Hi,
Also for the mix of suggestions, audio on Flip Cards and Tabs/Accordion. This would be great for low vision learners.
Hello, Anthony! While Rise 360 doesn't have a background audio feature, you can add audio to each lesson using a multimedia audio block.

Hi Stormi! I would suggest adding an audio block below the text, statement, or quote blocks. Then learners can play the audio when they're ready to listen.

You can add audio to your rise Courses.
- Extract the course to a folder;
- Open the scormcontent folder;
- Put your audio file inside this folder (I named mine as audio.mp3);
- Inside this folder there is a index.html - Edit with notepad or any html editor;
- Put the following line of code inside the <head> tag
<audio src="audio.mp3" controls=true autoplay=true loop=true></audio>
Save and test it.
NOTE: A player is displayed in the top left corner of the course. Now you have control in the audio (play, pause, volume).
Let me know if you need any assistance.

I realize this is old but I tried doing this, while it worked in the html folder, once I re-zipped and tried to upload to my LMS I was given an error that my scorm wasnt formatted correctly. Any tips?

Wow, do NOT follow Nuno's directions, that is a good way to break your lesson! I'll put together a how-to if background music is desired.
Thanks for sharing your point of view, Esther. We appreciate the insight!

Crystal, I just want to say thank you for this. From an accessibility (WCAG) standpoint, auto-play audio interferes with the ability of different users to hear the information. So thank you for keeping Rise more accessible as a platform.
