Adding User Notes Function to Rise Courses
Hello -
I've been looking at the various examples of interactions where learners can take notes within a course. There are a number of Storyline examples, but I could have sworn I saw one that was built in Rise. I thought I saved it, but cannot find it anywhere!
Does anyone know what I'm talking about, or did I just dream it?

Hi Shelly,
There isn't a block type within Rise that will allow learners to take notes within a course.
The examples that I've seen were done using Storyline.

The one I saw was a workaround someone came up with.
I remember someone adding a comment that this would be a good block feature to add in Rise.

I think Mike Amelang's solution may be the one you are looking for:
Learning Journal In Rise - Rise 360 Discussions - E-Learning Heroes (articulate.com)
Personally, we use storyline 'note taker' blocks and then (like Mike's solution) we use local browser storage to hold the text variables until we want to create the learning journal document at the end of the course. I published a demo of this:
Creating a Learning Journal in Articulate RISE - Rise 360 Discussions - E-Learning Heroes
BUT this one definitely uses Storyline! I don't think Mike's does.
Hope that helps
