Adverts for AI features appearing inside course.

Hi,

I just had an advert for the AI Avatar feature appear like a typical content block within a course.

I find this to be extremely intrusive and I hope you do not do this again.

Edit for clarification: This advert appeared in the editor, not in a published course, but it was in the flow of the content - i.e. exactly in the place I was expecting my own content to be.

  • Adverts when you first login might be acceptable, while editing courses are definitely not. Do you subscribe to the AI Assistant feature? If so, that would be even more annoying.

  • Hi DeveloperIgniti,

Thanks for sharing your voice with us! I understand that an AI Avatar promotion appeared in your course editor like a regular content block, and you found it intrusive.

To help us understand your experience:

    • What impact did it have on your work while you were editing?
    • How would you prefer to see announcements about new features show up in your authoring experience?

Hearing how this showed up for you helps us understand what you experienced.

LucianaPiazza : I realize that asking follow-up questions "to help us understand your experience" can be useful in many cases.

Here's some friendly feedback on how it's perceived. To me, these questions often feel disingenuous and evasive.

DeveloperIgniti said it was "extremely intrusive" to encounter an ad within a course. That feeling is an impact.

And the desired outcome is clearly stated: stop showing ads in Rise.

If I imagine myself encountering an ad in a Rise course, I'd be frustrated and mad. Those negative feelings would disrupt workflow beyond the moment it takes to delete such an ad. I arrived at that answer with empathy and a bit of reasoning. No follow-up question about impact required.

I have the deepest respect, admiration, and gratitude for the support staff. You all are so helpful and respectful when answering questions. I'm guessing these types of follow-up questions are a boilerplate requirement. I hope the team reconsiders how/when to use them.

I agree with everything Judy said.

         Stop showing ads in Rise.
