AI Text-to-speech edit box disappears (Storyline)

Hello All,

I am trying to use the AI text-to-speech edit box (in Storyline) and it disappears when I click in the advanced settings. It then reappears when I click anywhere else on the screen and then disappears again when I try to modify any of the advanced settings. Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks,

Johanne

I am having a similar issue. The AI Edit text icon is greyed out and I cannot use it.  This has been happening on and off, but I am usually able to get it working. However, this time nothing is working, and it is remaining greyed out. I am working on a locally stored .story file, so that is not it, but I'm not sure what is.

  • If I may add my voice StevenBenassi JohanneBrune953 , I have noticed this myself. In fact, I have managed (so to speak) to reproduce this behavior right now when I move my Storyline window to my second screen (which is larger): when I try to choose another voice, everything disappears except the list of voices. I have to click on the audio in the timeline again. And the second time... everything works fine. Who knows what will happen next time? 😅 But I will remember that this mainly happens on the second screen.

      Hi ThierryEMMANUEL!

      Thank you for the feedback!

We understand Storyline 360's UI rendering on secondary, or high-resolution monitors can be improved. We're tracking a feature request to enhance the functionality and I've included your voice in the report.

We'll be sure to notify you as soon as we have updates to share!

  • Hi JohanneBrune953!

Sorry to hear Storyline's AI Text-to-Speech editor is behaving erratically for you!

I'm happy to help troubleshoot and have some follow-up questions to get us started:

    • Are you working with a locally-stored .story file? Authoring directly off of a network or shared drive may introduce behavior such as this.
    • Regarding hardware, are you using custom display scaling (e.g. 125%, 150%) or multiple monitors? Sometimes Storyline's dialog boxes don't stay pinned correctly with this type of setup. If you are using multiple monitors, try Storyline on your primary display only.
    • Does the behavior still occur after performing a repair of your Storyline installation?

Looking forward to hearing from you!
