AI Tutor and source content
Can someone help explain to me why, for source files, I have trouble allowing it to reference Articulate's own support pages? This sounds counterintuitive to me. Here is an example of a link I want it to be able to reference: A Growing List of Cool Code Block Examples | E-Learning Heroes
I get an error because it changes it to a .txt file - "community-articulate-com.txt"
Thank you!

Hey ScottMelideo,
Thanks for sharing this example. I can see why it feels counterintuitive, especially since that link points to an Articulate community resource.
Right now, AI Tutor is only designed to help learners with the material in a published Rise course. It can't browse external webpages, even when they’re Articulate support or community URLs. If you want AI Tutor to help learners with particular examples, one option is to include any relevant text in the published course.
That said, our team is exploring ways to enhance the capabilities of AI Tutor. It's helpful to have as much real-world context as possible. Could you share a little more about what you’d like AI Tutor to do with an E-Learning Challenge page?

Hi StevenBenassi,
Thanks for the follow up. This is good to know. The course I am creating is highlighting the recent updates that have been made to Articulate and lets people at my company see a few things with the Code block. My thought is that if the Tutor can read the website, someone can ask it more questions, and it will then be able to answer them better. I need to keep the block I am building super short and to the point, with no extra.

Hi ScottMelideo,
Thanks for sharing more about what you’re building, and I appreciate you taking the time to explain it.
On the message you saw when your link turned into a .txt file, adding a link as a source file is part of the author-side source content, which is separate from AI Tutor. That feature only supports text from publicly accessible pages, so a page that blocks crawlers or needs a sign-in may not load. AI Tutor is grounded in your published course material and doesn’t browse the web, and it doesn’t have direct access to source files or links added there. To have it answer questions about that page, you can add a short summary of the key points to your course text.
Where are you seeing that .txt message, in the AI settings Source content tab or somewhere else?
