Hi everyone! 👋

You'll find (33 so far) examples of what you can do with the Rise Code Block. These are my tests that I've built to be responsive and accessible. I've provided the code for each so you can easily copy, paste, and insert them in your Rise courses.

There is a suggestion box if you'd like to upvote an idea or enter your own. If you have any comments, just drop them here in review. Yor can reach me directly at stephanie@stephanieharnett.ca.

Stephanie Several of these are LIFE savers! I used the basic code for the notebook to create the template for a workbook. It captures the students name and email address at the beginning, then responses to prompts during each unit, and then at the end lets them submit via MS Form. This closed a HUGE gap that we hadn't been able to fill, even with an LMS. THANK YOU for laying the foundation!

Wow! This is awesome Travis. Thanks for sharing. The Microsoft forms solution is fantastic. I wouldn't have thought you could pop out of the sandboxed environment where the iframed code is, but it does work. I'd love to know how you did that. Cheers! Stephanie

Hi Thomas. Yes, several of them. What I'm finding is that the "blank slide, I can build anything" feeling with Storyline is the similar to the feeling of the Rise Code block. Both have their place and their limitations, but the combination of them means anything I can dream up that will help in the education process, I can now capably do vs having to stay within the defined limits of the software.

So impressive, and thank you for sharing! How did you create the Valentine Oracle? Any plans to share the code snippet for that?

  • Thanks for sharing Stephanie, these are awesome! I can't wait to use the Image compare slider in an upcoming project!
