Allow Image Download

Hello,

Is there a setting I need to toggle on to allow users to download images I've uploaded to the course? I'm using Rise 360

hello, would it be possible to do the exact same from a Storyline 360 module please?

I'm looking to create a completion badge static image (not learner specific) that learners could download from Storyline 360 and share on social media, so I want to avoid using the Resources (only accessible on "completed successfully" slide).

The key thing are that it needs to be an image and it needs to be only visible on a given slide.
    Many thanks to all!

You can add the "Open URL/file" to any object. Use that to attach the image on the given slide. You browse for the file on your computer, but Storyline then pulls it into the file so it's available in the published course.

Note: What happens when the user clicks depends partly on browser settings (and the LMS if you're using one). For example, the image might open in a separate window. The user would then have to save it. So you might want to provide some instructions.

Hi Bonnie and welcome to the community! Richard is absolutely right— your learners can right-click on images in a Rise 360 course to save them to their computer. There's nothing special you need to do in your course to have this functionality work.

If you just want to make the image file available for download and don't need to display it, though, you could insert it in your course using an Attachment block. That makes it abundantly clear to learners that they can download the file.

  • Bonnie,

Can't they right-click the image and save as? I just did that on a Rise 360 course I have and it worked.
