Alt-text and hotspot
I have a question connected to hotspot and alt-text. In articles I read that hotspot are not read by the screen reader. Does it mean I have to add alt-text to each hotspot in my project?

Hotspots are read by the screen reader. If a user can take an action on a hotspot it will say "clickable main landmark (name of hotspot if you have added alt text).
For example, on this slide, you click the hotspot to reveal a layer indicating something is a mouse. I've labeled the hotspot alt text "Mouse Hotspot." If you test with a screen reader when you tab to the hotspot, you should hear Clickable Main Landmark Mouse Hotspot.
