Always Resume
We have given always resume option in our scorm file. When we run the project in LMS, it starts from where we have stopped, but some times it jumps to some other slide while revisiting.
Please help me to solve this issue.
Hi, Niveditha,
Thank you for reaching out!
Let me ask you a few questions to help you troubleshoot this issue with your published file:
- Are you testing the published files on a web server or locally?
- Have you tried a different browser to see if the issue is browser-related?
If you can share the .story file privately with our support team, we're happy to investigate your specific scenario.

We have tested it in web server.
Great, Niveditha!
I would suggest testing locally to see if you are getting the same results.
Are you utilizing the same browser for the testing?
I have a few articles I'd like to pass along in order to help you troubleshoot this:
- Storyline: Exceeding SCORM Suspend Data Limits
- This Article recommends a few solutions for exceeding suspend data limits:
- Disable the resume feature in Storyline.
- Reduce the number of slides until the resume feature works as expected. The limit will vary, depending on a variety of factors. You'll need to test your content in your LMS to verify.
- Republish your course for SCORM 2004 3rd Edition or 4th Edition, both of which support much longer suspend data.
- This Article recommends a few solutions for exceeding suspend data limits:
- Storyline and Studio: Course Doesn't Resume as Expected After Meeting the Completion Requirement
- This Article recommends adjusting the tracking Method, Changing the Reporting Option, and Modifying the Published Output.
If you are still running into issues I'd recommend opening a support case with our talented Support Engineers so they can have a closer look at your file.
Hope this helps!
