Animation in Storyline through the Morph Transition
Some time ago, PowerPoint came out with a transition called Morph that literally morphs shapes, colors, strokes, graphics, etc. from one slide to the next. In other words, if you build a design on one slide, duplicate the slide, and make changes to the shapes on the second slide, the Morph transition will smoothly deform the shapes from the first slide to the next.
This transition is POWERFUL for animation. I feel that small animations of this kind are especially important for a product like Storyline. In a sense, the ability to build animations is one of the key features that I feel is missing from Storyline. If Articulate would consider adding the Morph transition to Storyline, it would allow users to animate the graphics on the screen with triggers, and I believe that would open up new worlds of possibility with Storyline.
Is this something you all would consider adding to Storyline?

Hi @KellyAuner - I have been told by Articulate support that you guys count the number of requests of a feature in order to actually put it on your roadmap... the more *actually submitted* requests, the higher the probability it'll make it. So I'm one of those that have requested this, but I'm part of a team of 20+ that all want it. Are you saying that you need as many people to actually come on board either here in the chat thread or via the official request form to consider this? Honestly I think it's time to pull it off of the "we'll think about it" to "ok folks, let's do it"! Imagine the STUNNING things you could create with this far beyond what you can do now. It would be a great PR/marketing push on social and not cost you a lot of money to get the word out. So... shall I request my team to reply to this? Maybe attach a signed form? How do you want us to submit?

I work in a team of around About 100. We would all love to have it as a feature on here!

I would also really like Morph adding to Storyline. At the moment I'm using PowerPoint rather than Storyline much of the time so I can use Morph,

Trying to keep this thread alive. We need the Morph transition now more than ever ;)

It has been 5 years. Is it possible to make a Declined Request Rational request?

Well said, Bill. I +1 that.

I guess this is just one more really useful, well supported and much needed feature request that Articulate have ignored for many years and will ignore for many years to come...
Just like the beyond absurd fact that you still can't adjust tabs in a text frame.
Come on Articulate! These are basic requests. You should be paying more attention to your customers! - JenWeiss-38f01cCommunity Member
I'm guessing there has been no movement on this in the 5 years since this post was created? I have seen some truly wonderful suggestions put forth that have been virtually ignored by the Articulate development teams. Some of the requests are not even new ideas - just suggestions that Articulate implement the core items that eLearning creators need and are able to reliably get from other creation tools. (I'm looking at the suggestion for course version control which is a foundational feature that virtually all other authoring software has).
Come on, Articulate team! You ask for our suggestions - how about you DO something with them!

I just learned about the morph function in PowerPoint, and I immediately thought of all the useful applications this could have for eLearning. I would LOVE to see this added to Storyline!
Thanks, Heather for adding your voice! We'll keep you posted.
Thanks for chiming in to share your thoughts as well Debra. The request for the morph transition has been shared with our team.
I wanted to share some information about how we manage these feature requests as that may be helpful.
You are always welcome to share your feature requests directly with our team here.
A feature request for custom quick styles, including captions, is one that has been shared with our team previously as well and we're tracking.
I'll add this conversation to the report as we track user requests and so that we can share any updates we have with you here.

Chiming in to add that I agree. Morph in Storyline would be extremely helpful.
