Applying edits to Notes on multiple slides

Hi there,

My team uses Storyline to simulate the user experience in our software, and we add steps in the Notes section on each slide to guide the student through process. To keep the student oriented during the simulation, we show the same set of steps on each slide.

However, there doesn't seem to be any way of pasting new text to the Notes of every slide simultaneously. So, if we need to change something or correct an error, we must manually copy-paste the corrected version to every slide individually, which can be very time consuming. Is there some solution or workaround to this issue that we have not yet discovered?

Kind regards,

Peter

  • Hi Peter,

    Thanks for reaching out!

There isn't a way to manage text for the notes section for all slides in a Storyline 360 project file. I’ll be happy to pass your thoughts on to our product team, but you can also feel free to detail them more through a feature request!

A workaround that you can try is to create a custom notes section in your course using a lightbox. You can add a button in your project that will call on the slide whenever your learners need to reference the text.

    Hi Joe,

Thank you for your response and suggested workaround.

It's a shame to hear that editing Notes en masse is not possible, as your lightbox workaround is not suitable to our simulations.

Please do pass on the request to the product team, because this has been a major source of aggravation and time loss for us.

    Best,
    Peter
