Apply font settings to the entire StoryLine Projects
Hi Team, as a course creator, I find it exhausting to change the fonts on every slide because there is a default font applied. Has anyone else experienced this? I am thinking that if we could have a feature to change the fonts for the entire project at once, like we do in RISE, it would make a big difference and save us time.
I'll expand on what PhilMayor and RonPrice said.
When you assign the "__ (Body)" or "__ (Headings)" font to text, that text will be automatically changed when you change the Theme font.
If you assign the same font from the font list—without "(Body)" after its name—that text won't be updated if you change the Theme font.
As Ron said, the Find/Replace feature includes the option to Replace Fonts.

This would have been really easy if you had created a font theme when you created the course. Which similar to Rise will change the fonts.
A work around is to export a translation document in word, change the fonts in there and the import that back in.

Thank you Phill! I'll try creating a theme and take it forward from there. Cheers!

I echo Phil's statement regarding using font themes. You can also use the Find and Replace feature to replace all of your fonts in one step.

Love this, Judy! This will help me in applying the fonts when I start with Phill's suggested way.

You're welcome! Pay it forward when you can. 😊
BTW, I added some helpful links to my earlier reply.
Hi Alankrita,
Thank you for raising this. I hear you on how time-consuming it can be to update fonts slide by slide, especially when you're working with larger Storyline projects.
PhilMayor, RonPrice, and JudyNollet shared some great tips about Theme fonts and the Replace Fonts option, and those can definitely help in certain setups.
That said, Storyline still doesn’t offer a single, Rise-style setting that applies font choices universally across an entire project.
I’ve shared your suggestion with our product team so they can consider it as they continue exploring ways to make global formatting easier. If there’s anything else about your workflow that would make this even more helpful, feel free to share it here.

That would be a great help; this could definitely be a way forward to enhance the UX of a powerful and wonderful tool like StoryLine. Appreciate it Eric

I would disagree Storyline has the same functionality as Rise but you have to set it up at the beginning.
also, you can setup font styles and do font replace using find. I don't think storyline needs another way of changing fonts.what it might need is a better way of starting a project so you set them up using font and color schemes but not another font function.
