Are you using an online photo image editor?
I found list of online photo editors while searching for free editors. A community user had asked how to remove part of an image so she could layer objects below the image and I assumed Photoshop wasn't an option. I'm sure most folks stick with PowerPoint and Storyline for graphics work.
So I'm curious what you do when neither PPT nor SL will do the trick. Do you "make it work" or do you open another graphics program to perform the edits.
I'm also interested in the image editing tasks you find most challenging and what you'd like to learn to do.

Pixlr is a great tool for this. Really robust.
I've started using GIMP as well since avairy.com no longer has the same tools.
Even Picasa comes in handy for doing editing. Especially removing blemishes in photos.

I like BeFunky. I've used it to make cartoon scenarios with great success.

What used to be called Picnik and now is http://www.ribbet.com/ is a pretty good one for basic things..it doesn't have some of the more sophisticated tools but it is really good for all the basic stuff.

Photopea is the best online editor. It's basically as close as you can get to Photoshop without having to pay a lot of money.
Features that you didn't know you needed:
masks - by layer and by folder
adjustment layers
smart objects (non destructive editing)
The ability to save all work in a .psd (Photoshop format)
full blending modes
Pixlr E is ok and I used that for a while but photopea allowed me to do more complex
