Articulate team pricing

Hello,

I have a current license with Articulate. I would like to confirm the cost of converting my single license to a team license.  I currently am the sole user of Articulate, but would like to collaborate with another individual at my company. My understanding is that this collaboration is possible with the team license priced at $1299, but it shows a single seat is $1299 and two seats at $2498. What am I missing here? If a single license is $999, then why would a single-seat be $1299 in the team version.
