Audio Glitch in LMS
Hello!
We've recently uploaded a storyline SCORM 1.2 file to our LMS (SuccessFactors). During our quality review checks, we noticed the following situation. When a learner exits the course before finishing it and then opens the course later to complete, whichever slide the learner left off on - the audio is not audible unless the learner clicks the replay button or selects the previous slide. The audio performs as expected if the learner works through the course without exiting though.
We did some general troubleshooting and created three new SCORM files to test but experience the same thing each time. This is a new glitch for us. Has anyone encountered this before? Any ideas on what may be causing this?
Note: The audio files were created using Natural Reader.

Hello! Using the timeline and 'reset' setting.

Hi Nicole4 the settings you are using are the correct settings for what you would like to see. When you resume the content, it should replay the slide that you are returned to. Depending on your On restart > resume settings, this would either be on the user selecting the resume button, or the large play button that is shown when there is auto play media on the slide.
To determine whether the issue is with SuccessFactors or with the content. I would recommend that you test the content in the https://cloud.scorm.com service. This is a free service provided for testing SCORM content.
If you continue to experience issues using SCORM Cloud, I would recommend that you raise an issue directly with Articulate support, and provide a copy of your content to them so they can verify the issue and help you work on a solution.
I would normally say it could be a network issue (low bandwidth), but if the slide has already been played, the audio file should be in your browser cache and ready to go. It's an odd one.
Verify on SCORM Cloud though to be sure to be sure.

We also use SFactors and have seen similar behavior. While it can be annoying, we have also seen it is not consistent.
Perhaps try using "Auto" on the revisit settings and/or disable the timeline until the slide is completes.
