Sorry to hear that you ran into this behavior.
If you are unable to replicate the behavior using the same audio file in a different slide, there's a chance that the issue is isolated to the slide that your team member created. Would you be willing to share a copy of the template file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!
