Audio won't play in Review 360

Hi All,

I am embedding a video into a storyline 360 course. When I preview the course in Storyline, the audio in the video works. When I publish the course to review 360, the audio no longer works.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thank you!

    Thank you for reaching out! I see you opened a support case with our engineers, and we should be in touch very soon! 

    In the meantime, here's some additional information that might help you:

    Some modern browsers no longer allow audio to autoplay. If you have audio (on a video or separately) on the first slide or set it to advance automatically, the browser will expect the user to click. 

    If this is your scenario, here are two workarounds:

    • Set the first slide (or the slide that comes before the one with the video) to advance only when learners click a button or interact with it in some way.

    • Insert silent audio on the first slide to trigger the Play button. You can use Storyline's Record Mic option for this.

    If your video is not on the first slide or the way I described above, can you upload your .story file to the private link in your case so we can continue to investigate the issue?
