Base layer grayed out - but I don't want it to be!
I have a slider interaction with 3 added layers - one for each slider position.

The layers are not hiding one another so you could set the player properties back to hide other layers and then remove your triggers, also you jump to the slide when it is 1 which is not really needed.
I have changed a few things around should do what you want,
