Base Layer showing on Layers - Please help

How do I get the base layer object to show on other layers but in the same color as on the base layer?  

The object does appear on the other layers but is shown as a grayed out object

Doris:

Is the base object grayed out only while you're in Slide View? Or does it also appear grayed out in Preview and when Published? 

If it's the former, that's because the Dim checkbox is selected by default. If you deselect that checkbox, the base won't be dimmed while you're in Slide View.

If the base is grayed out in Preview/Publish, there's probably a semi-transparent background on the layer.

  • By default, a new layer gets the Blank Feedback Layout (which you can find by viewing the Feedback Masters).
  • If the Blank layout has a semi-transparent background or object, you'll have to remove it from the master layout.
  • Or create a new feedback layout with nothing in the background, and then apply it to your layers.

P.S. It's great that you did some searching first to see if someone already got an answer about the question you had. And I'm glad I spotted your question. For future reference, a question is most likely to be seen and answered if you create a new discussion instead of asking a question at the end of a long-ago-ended post.
