Best format for importing audio files
Hi, I can't seem to find a current support thread that discusses this issue. Several years ago, when I got sound files from a recording studio I would ask for WAV 16 bit, 44.1 kHz, PCM files, as that was recommended by Articulate.
Since then, Articulate has made it possible to have mp3 files not get compressed.
However, I'd still rather import WAV and set the audio compression when I publish Storyline, as I don't want to have to set each and every audio file to Compression "None."
Before I create my audio files I wanted to reach out to other users and Articulate staff for the definitive answer in 2023. Is it still best to import WAV 16 bit, 44.1 kHz, PCM files? Or should I be importing mp3 files?
Thanks!

Please advise the best format for audio files. thanks
Hi NorrisLau-2a1ae,
I wanted to share the response that we shared with AnneDeFelice-2e in case you might find it helpful.
By default, Storyline compresses audio in your published output so courses download faster for learners. Storyline supports a wide range of audio file formats (AAC, AIF, AIFF, M4A, MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA), not all codecs and bitrates are supported.
However, you can preserve the original quality of your MP3 audio files by turning off compression. Only MP3 files can be uncompressed in Storyline. This will provide you with better audio quality.
You can review more information here.
