Can I change the text color in Modern player in Storyline 360?
Hello,
I would like to change the text color to white or a brighter color in the modern player. I like the look and feel, but the text is gray and hard to see on the dark background. I could use the light, but I prefer the dark theme for this module.
I can update the font and size, but I don't see any options to update the color.

- TLTOfficeCommunity MemberI am having the same issue with not being able to change the text color and it seems crazy that over the course of however many years, this has still not been addressed. If I wanted the player color to be gray, I have no way to changing the text color and is nowhere near accessible. It seems like it would be such an easy fix. Is this anywhere in an update roadmap?
- CharlesRagucci-Community MemberHello, I agree we should be able to change the text color in the modern player. If you change the background color of the player the text color becomes a major issue. It seems to me that this option should be available, Thank You.
- PaulWijnen-5c1cCommunity MemberWe also need to be able to change more colors like the UI text color. I will make the feature request. - Hi Paul! - Thanks for reaching out! - No need to submit a feature request as our development team has one logged. I've included you in the feature report so you can be notified as soon as we have news to share! - Have a great rest of your week!

- PaulWijnen-5c1cCommunity MemberThanks!
The default grey color of the UI icons and text (it fades to white when you hover over them) wasn't working for the custom UI color that I used,
If we could choose those colors ourselves from within Storyline that would be great!
- HeatherStern810Community Member+1 for being able to change the text color of the Modern player.
- BarMazuzCommunity MemberPlease prioritize those issues of colors and font changing for every feature, its insane we need to work so hard to find a workarounds for these issues
- DanaRemian-4742Community MemberLooking for the same thing, all these years later.
- SteveBlackwellCommunity MemberI am surprised that Articulate are unwilling to move on this issue. Changing the Background colour is not the solution to offer when an organisation wants the player to be in the organisation's chosen brand colour. What I find quite bizarre, is that when I have moved from SL3 to SL360 and changed our player to Modern, some of the tabs are indeed white and not grey (please see attachment). This suggests either a bug or a conversion oversight.
Please don't "fix" this by making them all grey!
I think everyone just wants to have a player where they can decide the appropriate colours as opposed to it being locked down.
Sometimes, what seems to developers to be a minor issue and not worthy of work actually is a key UI/UX issue which is frustratingly ignored. Thanks for listening. - Hi Steve! - I've responded to your post in this discussion. When we have an update to share, I'll make sure to update both discussions.

- JasonGressman-8Community MemberMy team has the same need. I have a colored background, and the default gray color for the text on the buttons and labels is hard to read. I can't really change the background color as it is our primary color in our company logo. The sooner this is updated, the better. Not even sure I can continue using this software going forward. - NancyHemenway-eCommunity MemberThe only thing you can do is create your own buttons instead of the ugly gray ones. You would think at this point you could alter the color of the buttons (sigh).
