Can I slow down the audio voice selected in Storyline 360?
I am using one of the audio voice pre-loaded in Storyline 360 and it seems they are all speaking very fast. Is there a way to slow their speech?
Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 83, we've included important fixes and new features!
One of the new features we've included:
- Unlock new possibilities for text-to-speech audio. Use speech synthesis markup language (SSML) to adjust the speaking rate, modify pronunciation, emphasize words, add pauses, and more.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help!

Adding my voice as well, this is one of the most commented posts I have seen in the Articulate Community, so hopefully the speed can be controlled soon!

I would like to add my voice here as well.
Thank you for taking the time to share how important this feature is to your courses! I've let our team know what you're looking for. I don't have an update to share yet, but I'll keep you posted in this discussion!

Can you confirm then that Text to Audio when copying from the notes is useless if you intend to allow users to see the notes for accessibility? I will have to retype the exact notes with extra spaces, commas and periods to sound like a normally paced speaking voice?

Unfortunately that is one of the reasons we are still using Captivate TTS for all of our courses. Their TTS is on our desktop and does not go out to the cloud requiring us to get proper authorization every time we want to use it and they have many ways to slow down the speech. Don't get me wrong, we love 360, but we are still having to use multiple apps to get the job done. After all these years there just does not seem to be a development tool able to meet all of our development needs.

Adding my vote here for the ability to slow down the text-to-audio function.
In our company we have many "English as a second language" staff which will find the speed very difficult to understand.
Thanks for letting me know when this option is likely to be made available?

Hi, everyone need this speed control feature for text-to-speech. Still the feature is not added. once we export and import the audio it is not so easy to update the audio. For example, I may be not working on the file, some one else, but they will not know what settings I have used to slow down the audio (1x, 2x, etc.) while doing updated for the audio content. Please add this feature in the future updates.

I also have this requirement, to be able to adjust the delivery pace of the AI voice.
In addition, it is critical to be able to identify whether certain common words are being used as the verb or noun, so the pronunciation is correct (for example, record or content).
Thank you.

Related question, are any of the text to speech narrator voices slower than others?
Thanks
