Can I slow down the audio voice selected in Storyline 360?
I am using one of the audio voice pre-loaded in Storyline 360 and it seems they are all speaking very fast. Is there a way to slow their speech?
Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 83, we've included important fixes and new features!
One of the new features we've included:
- Unlock new possibilities for text-to-speech audio. Use speech synthesis markup language (SSML) to adjust the speaking rate, modify pronunciation, emphasize words, add pauses, and more.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help!

I am upvoting this... We need it to be able to be slowed down instantly, the timing portion would be a good place to allow us to up the duration and have the speech slow as we increase the duration.

Upvote! Could it please be applied to only sections or to individual words or syllables?
Not and all-or-nothing.
Word EMPHASIS also - PLEASE.
+1 on the quality/bitrate. - JozsefMedveCommunity Member
I have just started my trial version, and found the text-to-speech feature, which is very useful for me, as non-native speaker. But very soon I run into this limitation: even my US colleagues found that the narration is too fast. As the majority of the course audience will be non-native speakers, possibility of slowing down the audio would be extremely helpful.
- In its simplest form: Possibility to slow down at the text to speech conversion.
- But I see the point of the fast listeners, so a much more flexible solution would be to allow the user to adjust the speed to their needs in the player. Thanks for considering!

Any update on this? Are any upgrades to tts in the works? And if so, when might we be able to expect them?

Adding my voice to the chorus of requests for this. We develop materials for English language learners, so being able to slow it down would be really helpful for us! :)

I Really think this feature should be prioritized. I find lots of Heroes that ask whether development is in progress or not. I guess its a simple question.
Is it prioritized and are you working on it? and if yes, do you have any estimated release?
Hi everyone. Thank you for taking the time to check in!
To help you plan, we don't have immediate plans for more editing capabilities with text-to-speech. It's a popular request that we're actively tracking requests for so I'll make sure we notify you if we make changes that will help!

I hope this will be prioritized.
I badly need to slow down reading speed of text-to-speech as our materials were now converted from local language to english..
And the speed is quite fast for them to follow as not all of the participants in our class can understand english.. slowing it down may be of great help..
