Can I slow down the audio voice selected in Storyline 360?
I am using one of the audio voice pre-loaded in Storyline 360 and it seems they are all speaking very fast. Is there a way to slow their speech?
Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 83, we've included important fixes and new features!
One of the new features we've included:
- Unlock new possibilities for text-to-speech audio. Use speech synthesis markup language (SSML) to adjust the speaking rate, modify pronunciation, emphasize words, add pauses, and more.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help!

This request to allow for slowed down narration is over 2 years old and still nothing from the articulate developers? I have a course with over 200 slides. There is no way I can go through each audio narration while inserting commas, semi-colons or use the audio edit tool to insert pauses.

Another vote to include controlled speech speed to enable better articulation of words

Quite an important feature. Any plans to add?
Hello Alvaro,
Thanks for taking the time to contribute!
No update as of now, but we're actively tracking feedback for more editing options with the text-to-speech feature. We'll let you know here if we make any changes that could help!

In SL360 it would be very helpful to be able to slow down the audio on the timeline when inserting cue points for assets. At full speed it can be difficult to insert objects with accuracy.

I would love to be able to slow the text-to-speech audio. I only use it for prototypes before getting a professional voice over, but the most common feedback I get is "slow it down". Just adding a comment so I'll be notified if anything changes.

My department has decided to use the Articulate voices for the review cycle of WBT development and we create the final voices using a program called WellSaid - wellsaidlabs.com

Hello! any progress on slowing down the speed at which the text-to-speech reads text? thanks

I really hope you are at a point where you have enough requests to do something with the speed of the text to speech feature

Adding my name to this thread as i am not aware if this is resolved, i dont think so, and want updates too. This is not just a preference issue, it is also an accessibility issue for many learners. We need the following things:
1. developer ability to adjust speed of text to speech as a whole (like other say, adding punctuation only helps with that instance, the person as a whole needs to slow down)
2. give a player option so the consumer/learner can adjust the speed faster or slower (like they do in YouTube)
3. is there a phonetics dictionary we can have for pronunciation? this is especially important for names and uncommon words. right now i guess at phonetic spellings and try multiple different spelling options (10-15 in a recent case) to find one that sounds closer to what we need
I always provide the transcript for my learners, but some still complain about the speed even though they have transcript available with same content.
