Can I specify Voice for auto gen localized audio? (Storyline release 12/2/2025)
In the new Storyline release from 12/2/2025 feature of auto generating AI voice for translated files, what voice is used? When I select my audio track that is now in Spanish, it still shows the English voice.
Is there a place i can set a default voice to use for each language? If not, can this be added please?

In the current Storyline AI voice feature, the translated track keeps the original voice profile, even if the text is converted to Spanish. Right now there’s no global setting to assign a default voice per language.
A quick tip: duplicate the audio track and manually select the Spanish voice from the voice library for consistent results. It would be great if Articulate adds per-language default voices in future updates.

I can confirm I am experiencing this exact same behavior with the new Localization feature today.
In my testing (English to Italian), the AI successfully translated the text script inside the Text-to-Speech editor, but it did not automatically regenerate the audio file on the timeline. The audio remained in English until I manually opened the Text-to-Speech editor for that specific slide and clicked the blue 'Update' button.
Having to manually click 'Update' on every single slide negates the time-saving benefit of the AI feature. It would be great if this issue could be fixed in an updated version. Alternatively, could you suggest a better workflow to save time on this step?
Hi lorraineS!
Thanks for the question. Right now, when you translate a file and generate new AI audio in Storyline 360, the interface may still show the original English voice even though the text is in another language. At the moment there is not a way to set a default AI voice for each language.
I’ve shared your request with our product team so they can consider adding a language-based default voice setting or automatic voice matching in future updates.
Really appreciate you calling this out as you try the new feature!
