Can Peek record system audio?
I cannot see an option where Peek can record system audio. Is there a workaround to record system audio versus using a mic for quality. I am using Camtashia for this now but would love to use Peek

I just made a 2 hour screen recording of our headquarter presentation, which I meant to publish in our local offices, and found out that it did not record the system sound. What a bummer! Please fix this as soon as possible.

Adding this as a request, was hoping by the time I got to the bottom of the page 4 years later it would be added! Have to reluctantly use screencastomatic now

I echo all of the above sentiments. I cannot believe this discussion started over 3 years ago and there is still no such feature.. that's really disappointing. James - Camtasia adds a watermark to the video if you're using the free trial, so it's unfortunately not a great option.

I echo the above sentiments. Have been used to other software for screen capture and assumed Peek was the same :( I am now days out from a massive presentation and have just made this discovery. I must say I am very disappointed that's for sure

Michelle,
Try Camtasia if you can. It does what you were hoping Peek would do.

Sadly I have used our current budget on Articulate and a few other pieces of software that we needed :( Hoping against hope that internet access is available and then we can demo live

Seriously Articulate. People have been asking for Peek 360 to be able to record system audio basically from the beginning. Can you please get it together and get that feature activated? It's pretty basic functionality to expect from a professional-grade tool. Sorry to be annoyed, but Peek is far less useful than it could be if it natively recorded system audio.
Hello Jennifer!
Peek 360 doesn't have a system sound setting, but I'll let the team know you have a need for this! For now, a few suggestions that might get you most of what you need:
- If your speakers are on, you can pick up program sounds when recording.
- While this is a Replay discussion, this community method to adjust the Windows setting can help.

Coming back to this. I agree that being able to record system audio is important as well. I need to be able to capture everything that's going on, including dialog that may be coming through the system and not just through my mic.
Hi Mark,
Absolutely. You can select 'None' under the microphones from the recording control bar.
You can find instructions here in Step 3.

I can't thank you enough for sharing this screenshot. I searched everywhere to record the screen audio but never noticed this tab here. And just for this reason, I relied on REplay every time I wanted to do a video recording. Thanks a ton :)

Is there a way to NOT record sound in Peek?
Hi Brian,
We haven't made changes to the recording options within Peek yet. Were you able to test this workaround that Alyssa previously shared?
