Cannot record audio in RISE graphic marker
New user to RISER. When I open up a graphic marker to add content to marker, one option is to record audio. When I click it, nothing happens. I have no problem uploading an audio clip to the marker, but I sure would like to record a clip on the spot as i am building the markers on the graphic. Does anyone have an idea why I cannot use the record audio option?

What about on a Mac? I can't seem to record any audio in Rise 360. Any thought? Thanks!

Well, I found this: https://articulate.com/support/article/Rise-Safari-Doesn-t-Support-Audio-Recording
Thing is, I am using the latest version of Safari (13.0.1), not an old version. Perhaps this version is too new.
I tried in Chrome and it works there.
Articulate, please find a way to get Rise to fully work in Safari. Much appreciated if you can. Thanks!
Hi there, Luigi. I did a quick test on my MacBook Pro using Safari Version 13.0.1 (14608.2.11.1.11), and I was able to record audio directly into an audio block.
Can you connect with my team here to work on why this isn't happening for you? Thanks!

Hi. I am also unable to record audio in Rise.
I am on Chrome and the 'Start recording' option is there but when I click on it, nothing happens.Hello, Hayley. If you've tried closing and relaunching your browser and you're still having trouble, please work with us one-on-one here!

Hi Crystal,
Yeah, Ive had our IT look at it also.
We’ve tried using Rise on 3 different browsers.
Explorer doesn’t even give me the option to record audio.
Chrome has a button for ‘record audio’ but nothing happens when I click it.
And the final browser (I don’t recall the name right now but can get that to you if it helps) would open a tab when I clicked ‘record audio’. Allow me to record, but when I stopped recording, the audio would disappear and I am unable to use it.I am not having issues with any other of the Articulate software when it comes to recording.
Many Thanks,

Hi Hayley,
Thanks for those extra details! Rise authoring isn't supported in Internet Explorer, but you should have no problems in Chrome.
I'm going to connect you with our Support Engineers so we can get this sorted out as soon as possible!

we are also having the same issue, no option to record audio in graphic marker
So sorry about that, John! Please refresh your Rise 360 browser window, and you should be able to record audio in a labeled graphic block. Let me know if you're still having trouble with it!

Hi, I am trying to record on a labeled graphic in chrome. One course lets me record without issue, the other does not. I click the record button, and the mic doesn't light up as I am talking. I've tried refreshing, I've tried with and without a headset. It worked fine before but as of yesterday this one course will not add recording. Again, I was able to record fine in a separate course yesterday.

So, I had to duplicate the course and was able to record in the duplicate. Hope that helps someone!
Smart idea to duplicate the course, Jasmine! Thanks for letting us know how you solved it.

I use RISE all the time and the interactive graphic hotspot tool as well. I am now encountering this problem as well. I can upload audio no problem but cannot use the audio record function.

When I experienced this, I duplicated the course and was able to resume recording using the duplicated course. Might help.

Hey Articulate, was this ever a bug fix for Rise? ame problem, it's not my mic or PC (just tested recording in Snagit, Camtasia... all good) so...? I'm using MS Edge browser.
Oof... Update! Before duplicating, I tried just signing out and back in and viola, it's back.
