Cannot Set Initial Position For Mouse Cursor

Hello,

I am inserting a pointer into my slide, but each time I try this the pointer defaults to the center of the screen.  When I try to set the path the dashed line gets even shorter.  The "Enter From" option is disabled so I cannot use that option.

Has anyone else run into this issue before?

  • I had the same problem and i saw that it happens working on a duplicated slide in which an instance of mouse was previously used.

    Hope it helps.

  • So, if you try the same thing on another slide, it works for you? Let me know if we need to look further into it.

  • Hi Raquel!

I do not seem to be having any difficulty with this functionality. Please be sure that you are working locally and I would advise that you update to the latest version of Storyline 2, which is Update 5.

      Hi Leslie,

I am working locally and running update 5 already, thank you anyways.

It does only happen in one particular slide -but it's not the first time that I have experienced it.

      I see that it's not a documented/common bug.

  • I have the same problem. "Enter from" is disabled, and the mouse pointer is displayed when the timeline starts with that checkbox unselected. It should show up after 9 seconds.

    Version 150.505 of Storyline 2.

  • Hi Jeff

which version of SL are you using?  I have tried in both and it works for me.  Do you want to upload your slide?
