Can't Edit Table in Rise
Is anyone able to edit a table in rise? I am able to insert a table and the editing box shows up when I highlight a column or row, but I am unable to click any of the buttons in the editing box.

Unfortunately, I find that simply clicking in the table rarely works. The table is a terrible feature, and difficult to edit...poorly designed. If there was an improvement, that would be great. Or if there's some 'trick' to get the table toolbar to appear easily and consistently, that would be helpful.
Thanks

To get the table toolbar to appear, you need to select two or more cells.
Either click in one cell and drag the mouse to select more cells, or click in one cell and use SHIFT + arrow key to select more cells. I get consistent results using the second method.

It is possible to create a table in Microsoft Word and copy and paste into Rise, just don't expect to be able to edit everything afterwards e.g. table height / borders

I think I figured out why some people can't see the selected cells, its due to an odd line of css that comes from the 3rd party text editor Froala. I provide a suggested alternate style. Plus a sneak peek at tooltips in Rise:

Hello -- I do not see any of the drop-down options when I go to edit the table. Nothing happens when I click on the options.

When I'm clicking inside a cell, I'm and hovering over the column option - the drop down does not show up

Sometimes the table editor stops working.
Close Rise 360.
Re-open the lesson, and the table editor should work again..

Hi SCD TP,
If you look at the image directly above your post. using the two circled icons, you can add and delete columns and rows using their drop-down options.

Hi. One workaround I found was that I deleted all the text in the columns I didn't want, and then closed the webpage. Once I reopened the webpage, the empty columns were gone.
The buttons for columns and rows look like they are vertical and horizontal alignment buttons, I don't think it's a good design choice. But you may be seeing them without realizing what they are! That's what happened to me.
Thanks for the screenshot, Karl! Really helpful.
Millie, as Karl shows in his image above, make sure you're clicking on the column option first, and not the trash can icon in that first menu. If you're still having trouble, you can reach out to us here and we'll work one on one with you!

Same thing happens to me, I suppose it is a glitch in the matrix...the block is very buggy so I just stop using that block.

Hi Millie,
Click inside the column you want to delete.
Then click on the column tool (3 vertical lines), and select Delete column.
Hello, Rhea! Yes, you can change the width of a column in a Rise 360 table. Simply click and drag the column edge, show below.
