Can't open player properties
Whenever I click the Player button, either in a new or existing project, nothing happens. The window does not open, so I am unable to edit the properties. This started happening in the middle of a project, no idea what caused it.
Reinstalling is a huge pain at my company, and I shouldn't need to anyway. Can anyone offer a solution? I tried clearing the cache without any luck.

Have you confirmed you're working on local project files as described here? If it's just starting happening I'd also test it in a brand new file, to see if it's file specific. If the same thing happens in a new file I think you'll need to go through the repair next. Since it's a difficult process at your company - I'd do the full repair here so that they only have to help you once.
Yep, I'm always working locally, but double checked. If I open a brand new file, then I have the same problem. It's like the window is open, but invisible. If I try to click around, I get the Windows error sound and I can't select any other menu items, however, if I hit escape, I can then click around normally again. very weird.
I hadn't installed the most recent update, so I tried, and the problem still persists. Will try a clean install next.

Could the window be opening on a different monitor or something similar? I know sometimes when I open Storyline on my second monitor the additional windows will still open on my main screen. So maybe it's hidden as such like that? Let us know if going through the repair helps out as well.
It definitely feels like that. the window is opening somewhere, but I can't find it.

If you've already gone through the entire repair document and the behavior persists we'll want to have you work directly with our Support team to gather some additional information about your system and set up.
Ok, so the repair was unnecessary. It was a multi-monitor issue. The solution was to run storyline, click the button for the missing menu and then disconnecting additional monitors. This dropped the window back in place.
Ah, thanks Adam for the update - I'm curious was the window on your second monitor or your main monitor? I haven't run into that myself, but good information to know!
I honestly have no idea where the window was when it was hidden. I assumed that might be the problem and I looked EVERYWHERE. I sometimes switch between multi-monitor set ups, so something funny happened and it may have hid the window outside of my view screen. Honestly, it beats me.
