CC Button Disappearing
I have audio on a slide with closed captioning. There is a hot spot that opens up a layer with no audio. The closed caption button shows initially on the main slide and works, but upon viewing the popup layer and returning to the main slide the CC button disappears. Is this another bug?
Popup layer is set to Pause the timeline of the base layer.
Using the latest version of Storyline 360.

Hi Ron,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing that you are experiencing a similar issue.
We do still have an open issue specific to the CC Button disappearing when using layers and "Pause Timeline of Base Layer" is used.
Does this fit what you are seeing as well?

Hello,
Is there a solution to this issue? I'm having a client complain about the CC button disappearing. When they pause the course the CC button is gone when they return, then reappears when going to the next slide.Looking forward to your response.

Hi Luanne,
To confirm, is your course set up to where your layers have the option Pause timeline of base layer enabled?
If so, this is still an open issue with our team, but we'll let folks know in this discussion once we have more info to share.
Hello everyone!
Great news! We just released another update for Articulate 360 and included a few important fixes you'll see in the release notes.
The item you'll be interested in is:Fixed: The closed captioning button disappeared when slide layers paused the timeline of the base layer.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.

From here, I'd recommend connecting with one of our support engineers to investigate this with you and help determine what's causing this!

Thank you Becca.
Lianne was able to troubleshoot the issue by changing the Player settings from "Always resume" to "Prompt to resume". Glad to hear it, Linah. I appreciate you sharing an update with the community.
