Changes to feedback master won't apply
I'm relatively new to using Storyline, but have been learning on the fly, watching tutorials, and following the community for the last few months. My issue is I customize the Feedback Master for layers, then Use the "Apply Layout" button, yet my customized layout doesn't get applied. When I view the FB Master, my customizations are there. What is going on?

Have you tried reset slide?

Yes. Nothing happens.
Hi KarenGerfenG147,
This sounds odd!
Have you tried to preserve the feedback master? If it isn't currently being used by any layers in your course but you want to keep it for later use, you can preserve it.
- Select the feedback master in the left panel, go to the Feedback Master tab on the ribbon, and click Preserve.
- You can also right-click the feedback master and select Preserve Master.
I'm also curious if this is happening with one file or multiple files. If it's occurring in a specific file, you can try importing the slides into a new project to see if that resolves the issue. Please let us know if this helps!

I have a similar issue. I've added the Heading 2 text style to the slide title in the layout. When I apply the layout the text style does not get applied and the slide title remains Normal text style. This needs to be fixed during review.

This may sound like a stupid question, but when you Apply Layout, is the Base Layer selected, or is the feedback layer selected within that slide? ie the layers themselves need to be selected then you apply the layout as normal.

I don't have a feedback layer on the slide, only a base layer. The slide master has Heading Level 2 applied to the title, but when the layout is applied, the title is Normal.
Hi JulyPatterson-a,
This behavior sounds odd!
I created a Master Slide, and applied the Heading 2 text style to the title. The formatting was applied when I added new slides. Here's a quick look at what I did. One thing to check is that you created the layout on the the Slide Master, and not a Feedback Master. If this is happening with multiple files, you can try a Storyline repair which tends to fix unexpected behavior. If it's only happening with one file, it would be great for our team to take a closer look at what's going on! You can share it here or privately in a support case, and we'll delete it once we're done troubleshooting.

I'm having the same problem- I'm applying the layout but my changes to the feedback layers are not being applied. I tried importing the slides into a new project, but that didn't fix the problem.

I have the same problem, My updates to my slide master layout apply, but now I've created a custom set of feedback layers to match that design, and can't seem to apply that to all my slides. Do i have to actually go to every layer in my quiz and apply the feedback master to each?
Hello Ari_Avivi,
Happy to help! It sounds like you’re working hard to ensure your feedback layers match your custom design, and that’s great attention to detail.
You’re correct that the feedback master needs to be applied individually to each feedback layer. While that does take some time initially, once it’s done, any changes you make to the feedback master will automatically apply to all associated layers, which can save you time in the long run.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.
