Changes to feedback master won't apply
Hi JulyPatterson-a,
This behavior sounds odd!
I created a Master Slide, and applied the Heading 2 text style to the title. The formatting was applied when I added new slides. Here's a quick look at what I did. One thing to check is that you created the layout on the the Slide Master, and not a Feedback Master. If this is happening with multiple files, you can try a Storyline repair which tends to fix unexpected behavior. If it's only happening with one file, it would be great for our team to take a closer look at what's going on! You can share it here or privately in a support case, and we'll delete it once we're done troubleshooting.
I'm not adding new slides. I've imported PowerPoint slides and applied the layout to the imported slides. When I add a new slide, the layout has the title as Heading 2. If I apply the layout to an existing slide the title does not have Heading 2 but Normal as the style.

Hi JulyPatterson-a,
Thanks so much for the clarification. Are you willing to share your file with us? I was able to apply the layout to a PowerPoint slide and the Heading 2 formatting remained. I'd like one of our Support Engineers to take a closer look at what's going on. They'll delete any files from our system once troubleshooting is complete!

Here is the file. I imported the slide from PowerPoint for scene 2. I want to apply the layout AHN Green to them. When I apply the layout, the title remains Normal but the Layout has Heading 2.

Hello JulyPatterson-a,
Thanks for sharing a copy of your project file. I looked at it and saw that the slides in scene 2 don't appear to have any headings defined, possibly because they were imported from PowerPoint. Without the headings being defined on the slide, the layout cannot know what text to replace. Were the headings defined in your PowerPoint file? If you have a text box in your slide that's defined as Heading 2, then I can confirm that the text inside this text box will get modified when you apply your layouts.
Hi StarPetersonVA,
Please check if your slide has the correct text boxes formatted to allow the Feedback Master. Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so I can confirm this for you? It's all about making sure the correct components that a layout will change are present in the target layout/slide. We'll delete it when we're done testing!
